SketchyScan ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our scam detection service.

Information We Collect

Scanned Content: When you submit content for scanning (images, URLs, text, QR codes, phone numbers, or files), this content is processed in real-time by our AI analysis system. We do not permanently store the content you scan on our servers.

Safari Extension Data: If you use our Safari protection feature, the extension processes URLs locally on your device to check against our threat database. We collect anonymized statistics about blocked threats to improve our detection capabilities.

SMS Filter Data: If you use our SMS filter feature, message content is processed locally on your device. We do not receive or store the content of your text messages.

Breach Monitoring: If you use our breach monitoring feature, we collect and store the email addresses you choose to monitor. These are used solely to check against known data breaches via Have I Been Pwned and alert you if your email appears in new breaches.

Local Storage: Your scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device using browser storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.

Payment Information: If you subscribe to Premium, payment processing is handled by Stripe (web) or Apple App Store (iOS app). We do not store your credit card information directly.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide scam detection and analysis services
• To process your Premium subscription
• To improve our AI detection capabilities (using anonymized, aggregated data only)
• To respond to support requests

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data during transmission. All connections to our service use HTTPS encryption. Scanned content is processed in real-time and not retained on our servers.

We use trusted third-party services to provide our functionality:

• Anthropic: For AI-powered content analysis
• Apple App Store: For secure payment processing and subscription management
• Cloudflare: For secure API gateway and content delivery
• Have I Been Pwned: For breach monitoring features. Breach data is provided by Have I Been Pwned and is licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Your Rights

You can clear your local scan history at any time through the app. If you have a Premium subscription and wish to delete your account data, please contact us at contact@voidsecurity.io.
